Keeler
Keeler designs and manufactures a range of specialist ophthalmic equipment. However, much of its portfolio has seen limited development over the past decade, presenting an opportunity to better align its products with evolving clinical needs.
During my time at Keeler, I championed Voice of Customer research to inform a new product roadmap, with a particular focus on the Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscope (BIO), the flagship product in its portfolio.
A key product launched recently was a fluorescein angiography accessory for the ophthalmoscope. I led the design and development of the accessory, incorporating additional optical filters and a new LED light source to enable fluorescein-based retinal examinations. This enhanced visualisation of retinal vasculature, supporting clinicians in the assessment of ocular pathologies.
Further development is underway to transform the BIO product range, positioning Keeler to deliver a market-leading offering that better reflects evolving clinical needs and customer expectations.
